Travel:                  Less than 10%

Location:             Woodridge, IL

 

Position Summary:

The Marketing Communications Manager at Globe Union is charged with managing and executing all internal and external forms of marketing communication. This position also plans and executes promotional activities from concept to completion, exercising sound judgment in seeking input/approvals from his/her supervisor and senior marketing leaders at appropriate junctures while demonstrating initiative and an eye for detail.  This key role is essential to the development, production and execution of sales collateral and supporting assets.  He/she will also track campaign outcomes, feedback analyses, and provide ROI reports to senior management for continuous process improvement and measurement.A successful candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, thrive on challenging and rewarding work, and have the ability to make quick and effective decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully create, populate and execute the marketing communications activity calendar
  • Plan and execute promotional marketing activities including ROI determination, tracking, reporting, and post-promotion assessment
  • Provide aligned written content (copywriting) for email, literature and social media inclusion
  • Develop and execute simple literature pieces in Photoshop, Indesign, and  Illustrator
  • Organize development of creative briefs for communications pieces including identifying target person(s), organizing structure and gathering feedback from segment leaders
  • Co-own (with digital marketing) the Showpad sales enablement platform
  • Provide communications and creation of materials support for customers, sales staff, customer service personnel, etc
  • Development and presentation of training materials for new product launches and other marketing initiatives
  • Act as the point of contact for both internal and external marketing broadcast communication including rep group communication strategy and execution
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, finance, operations and senior management
  • Coordinate and organize a comprehensive library of training assets (PowerPoint presentations, videos, photos, etc.)
  • Capacity to create a work plan and schedule for self and team as well as meet deadlines while unsupervised

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 4-6 years of experience in marketing communications
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, and MS Office Suite
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and high sense of urgency
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask
  • Superb oral and written communications skills
  • Creative mindset and ability to review creative and art direction
  • Willingness and ability to “push the envelope” and innovate responsibly
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and lead across all levels of the organization
  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service
  • Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven
